So many times I got sent the fukk back home after coming downtown way from the top of The Bronx because my shirt ain’t have enough buttons or not having dress shoes on :mjcry:

I literally bought shoes just so I could get in the club
the same...sometimes nikkas used to have carry spare shoes in the car just in case...i found a pair of black diesels that somehow was acceptable in all the clubs i went in....thank god

Op you gotta remember we(the culture as a whole not everybody) were gradually starting to dress back up 5-7 before an oversized plain t-shirt and blue jeans were acceptable club attire. So long sleeve button downs or cardigan sweaters were considerably more dressy compared to what people were used to seeing. Shiiiiiiiiiiittttttt I remember when we first got on pea coats in 08-09 people was giving compliments left and right.
