You and i know what SHOULD be taught that doesn't mean it will be. Same as slaves SHOULD be in the books but its replaced by workers. The school system aint shyt, especially for young black minds and this is coming from a teacher.

Actually it is, Texas rewrote history books to make it seem like Blacks came here voluntarily. It hurts that because Texas public school system is so large if we place an order for new rewritten textbooks with slavery skipped over and god preached in it 5 other southern states piggyback off our orders for the same books. There was a story ran here locally about what we are teaching our kids and no one gives a fk that slaves are now referred to as "workers" and not what they truly were.

No, you're right. One of my history professors told us this in a university history class, that they were revising the history books and somewhere in Texas there was an uproar over it.

Even in literature/letters from that time period, you can find evidence of slavery being referred to as "indentured servitude" and/or "a peculiar institution."

Sickening. It's up to us to hold the truth and educate our future children the truth.

If y'all really want to see how deep this goes, look up manifest destiny in American history. Westward expansion is worth a read too. That explains it all.

We looking at this in shock but, a lot of black people out here really wouldn't see an issue with this. The conditioning is still going on as we speak. One thing I wish we could keep black kids away from honestly is Disney and Nick family shows and shyt that some all these loving and happy white families like they do no wrong to our kids.

This seems like the only option left. Don't send your kids to a religious private school that says American slavemasters are in Heaven because they were Bible reading Christians who accepted Jesus into their hearts.
