I always thought this album was trash, and I actually like 50.

I guess it’s viewed as a classic because of impact, but there’s really a lot of weak songs.

There’s so many bad songs on this it’s like take your pick.

I'm from Queens.

GRODT to me is classic but more in an impactful and influential sense. The narrative and buildup for the album played just as big of a role in its perception as the music itself.

Musically, the album is still decent imho but is way too generic and watered down to compare to higher tier classics like Blueprint, OB4CL, Illmatic, Ready To Die, IDAHIH, 36 Chambers, and The Infamous.

GRODT is more like a Harlem World type of album that's super commercial and sounds good throughout but, without experiencing it in that timeframe or understanding the impact, it can lose its luster a bit.

Sticking to the topic though, I'd say Like My Style is the weakest song. In a way, Massacre has better deep cuts than GRODT despite having much weaker commercial songs.

Album fell off after "What Up Gangsta" to me. My favorite song and all time grand opening to an album. That song had me thinking everything else was going to be that level of greatness. It wasn't. I still only like a handful off songs off this album. And "Like My Style" may be the weakest. I'm one of those people that never liked "21 Questions". Nate Dogg was the best part of that song.

I preferred both Power Of The Dollar and The Massacre over this album.

I feel like GRODT aged terribly for the most part.

I’d go back and listen to Massacre before I would get rich.

Like my style is a very unique beat . The synthesizers on that song and poor lil rich were very musical . I think that's why people didn't vibe with it cuz those beats don't sound easy Coast ,west coast or southern.
