movie was cool...very well shot...alot of it could have been cutdown - too much filler...i see why alot of people are fans of it but for me it was not well written and kinda all over the place.

Its a slightly better version of longlegs.....3/5
Why does the coli compare every movie to Longlegs?

Just watched. I liked it. Far better than that trash ass Barbarian :hhh:Not better than Sinners though :ufdup:I agree with a post before this movie should've been set in the 70s or early 80s. Some of the inconsistencies far as technology and advanced spy ware not being utilized could've been avoided all together. I think if the main point of view was through Alex eyes instead of the teacher it would've been better. You felt his fear being powerless more than Justine and Brolins character.

The dream stuff was weird and the movie could've been assisted with more of a background on Gladys. Why does she do this? How long has she been doing this? Is she actually related to Alex? I'd be in for a prequel or sequel on that side. Director said he didn't intend for the ending to be comedic but that shyt was hilarious. Peele could've helped him steer that in a more darker direction cause that shyt was hilarious :russ::russ::russ::russ:

Is she actually related to Alex?
Was wondering about this. We catch her in at least one lie. Alex dad says she's his wife's aunt, but in school she claims to be Alex's aunt. And we know or at least suspect that she's old as dirt from some of her comments.

I wonder if his mom is just one of her victims that she earmarked as a kid and has been keeping tabs on, waiting for when the time was right.

I'd bet they're not related at all, and she just finds ways of attaching herself to people by claiming to be a distant/estranged relative.

It was cool.

The only part I wasn't a fan of was
The idea of literally no police officers being able to do what Josh Brolin's character did and look at the ring cameras to figure out what direction the kids were running.

Even the police not making direct contact with Alex's parents. Kinda have a hard time believing if an entire classroom goes missing they wouldn't be pressing the parents of the only survivor a little harder.

This movie was funny as fukk to me.

Especially when that old lady was running around through the neighborhood and when them kids were eating her. It reminded me of that scene in The substance when Demi Moore character was revealed on stage and squirts buckets of blood on the audience.
I just laughed and laughed.
