Rented this shot online and it came out on Max two weeks later….was very entertaining for me. Didn’t realize it related to Barbarian but I kinda see the same hints of goofiness in both.

. Still had to pay like 2 dolla but looked very interesting…
So I finished this movie a couple days back. I was not finna spend good money at the theater.
I watched a couple of explainers of this video.
And strangely enough, my algo started showing me stuff for Eyes Wide Shut.
I didn't put anything together to be honest, but once you watch a regular review of EWS, you start getting the conspiracy reviews for EWS. It doesn't help that y'all got me hooked on that Chinese Professor teaching the "secret history of the world".
So EWS is "about" some typical Illuminati, "global finance", "the elite"....and Hollywood is how they indoctrinate stars to keep "we" the masses under control.
Yadda, yadda, yadda.
Anyway - Holly Wood - Holly Trees - Holly Branches - Witches Wands
Now I'm like
It puts a whole other spin on the movie, imo.
Was that intentional? I don't see it in the mainstream reviews at all

Just wait till you her as MadonnaKnew nothing about this movie going in, literally just hit play on HBO Max. Now seeing its part of the barbarian universe makes the goofy break in tone make sense. I liked it better than barbarian, but it left me feeling sad knowing that most them kids and Alex’s parents’ minds are are flayed

Just saw this (I know I'm late), it was alright, no way is it better than Sinners.
