I'm looking forward to seeing this in IMAX, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up since I've been let down by a few movies over the past year. I really wanted to like like The Monkey but it turned out to be absolute trash. I haven't seen Long Legs and Barbarian yet though. Thankfully I have a cinema pass so it doesn't turn out to be too much of a loss if a film is wack.

Alright, I'm gonna hype this one up. I saw it Monday before the review embargo at a special screening, and I'm telling you-it's a 9/10 overall. For most of it, it plays like a 10/10. Just a really great movie. Honestly, one of the best modern horror films I've seen. Maybe the best, period. I never really counted Get Out as a true horror movie, but I can't think of anything better than this off the top of my head. I'll probably rewatch it Sunday once I'm back in town and see how it holds up.

What's crazy is I expected this to be trash. I thought it'd be like the 2025 version of Trap a cool premise, August release, but ultimately a letdown. That's what I assumed. Plus, I didn't even like The Barbarian, so my expectations were low. But this? Way, way better.

:blessed: But also :patrice:because you didn’t like Barbarian which I enjoyed. So I’m cautiously hopeful. Seeing it tonight.

What made it better, what made it a 9/10

Went to the early screening today. The film is stunning. I went in with an idea of what it would be about and at one point felt disappointed that it seemed like I was right, only for it to completely rug pull me. When you realize what's happening the tone shifts and becomes far more sinister. This shyt is really good fellas.

I'm curious to see how audiences react. The IMAX showing I went to may have had like 12-15 people in that big ass room. By the third act there were a couple people in there crying/sobbing and not gonna lie...I had some slight water in my eye at one point lol.

me and wifey checking it Saturday. I loved barbarian so send me a message without spoilers to let me know if it meets the hype. I’m hyped more now since majority are saying it’s living up to it…. Do I need to be high for this like I was for barbarian? :leon:

Interesting, people in my theater were laughing at certain parts.

When Josh Brolin's character kept hitting and throwing the druggie around and he kept getting up.
