That's only an excuse for dumasses that can't tell time. 
As of late, a man with a classy watch was something that women should have took note of. But in a few weeks watches are going to start trending so hard with the iwatches dropping.
Everytime I've ever considered buying a watch it's been as a fashion accessory, then I say fukk it and spend that $ on something else.
There's a few guys I know who wear expensive "looking" watches but I know they aren't making any significant money, don't understand the point of that. Seems like they just fronting for no reason. But w/e that's their life.
Whenever I need to know what time it is I just pull at a phone or look on a computer/clock/etc. I'm not worried about the extra few seconds it takes to do this. I'm rarely in a situation where I need to know exactly what time it is instantly.

The only fakkits in the thread crying over OP's statement is the ones who wasted all their money on a watch because they're too ugly to get attention otherwise. Watches are the biggest waste of money behind cars, only the dumbest of nikkas cop watches, especially in 2015.

Mobiles and tablets are not always charged, reliable or accesible, especially in some meetings or meals(its rude to whip out your phone at the table or when senior management is talking)
