I think the Coli has some of the most unique and outspoken gamers in the world right here. I see plenty of podcasts/twitch/youtube videos of people debating games, consoles, characters, comics, etc.
I think we should do a coli version. We type out paragraph after paragraph here, we could bring this to display and maybe even better arguments because we'll be saying them aloud as well.
I would like 1 person from xbox side and PS4 side every week. I will be representing PC side of course. It can be heated, you can call people names(nothing racist though), but keep it to a minimum, like if I call you a console peasant you can call me a PC nerd etc. So whoever comes on here must be thick skinned and also not shy and be able to argue their points well. I do think if the arguments/debates are good enough people actually wont insult people too much.
Every week will be a new subject, the first week id like to do of course the ol tired debate of PC vs PS4 vs Xbox1 and we can discuss the benefits of each platform and reasons why if someone had to choose one why they should go with the platform you are arguing for.
I know theres a million debates on this subject or any subject we might cover actually, but at the same time The Coli brings a different style to these arguments. We will bring a less nerdy approach to it.. Half the time im hearing some kid from a farm in Wisconsin talk about a game and I just can never relate. Theirs a reason this site is so successful because a lot of us share the same interests but maybe like different parts of a topic.
Ill be running the questions and arguing my side as well but I do want the other 2 participants to talk more than me.
This can also help bring more exposure to the coli and the arcadium especially. We will shout out at the end of the video the coli of course, with links below in the youtube description, we can even have the debate live on Twitch.
If you are interested in getting into YouTube videos or have a channel already, you can also put it there and help build your channel up. My worst videos do 500-1000 views (about what hiphopgamer averages) with my best video being around 65k views. Nothing to write home about, but also not bad at all and who knows maybe people like you enough you get a lot of subscribers and make you way on YouTube
The first show id like to be short, like 10 minutes or so just to do a trial and error run.. We could have them on Sundays at 5 pm PST (since I know TSC crowd will wanna watch Raw instead)
if @Liu Kang the Gawd could make us a dope overlay that'd be great as well (3 web camera slots, with some information in the bottom right or upper left.)
What you need;
-Web Camera
-Skype
-Decent internet connection (cant be dropping in and out of the call)
-Decent microphone (cant be static or anything)
-Make sure all your settings work before hand, we can do a trial run as well(probably best to do a few for set up reasons)
-To actually show up
I personally think this could be actually kind of big, if anything at worst it gives a face to some of the posters here + brings some of the debates more alive
We could call it the video game barbershop or something
