We should care, and men should care that a brother would accept that money. That's a bad look for black men. If one black man does it, it reflects poorly on all black men. If any black man excuses it, it makes it look like that kind of behavior is acceptable to black men. It shouldn't be.

We need to start policing our own so that our sons and brothers and nephews learn being a bum nikka is NOT okay, it's not something to shrug off, it's not strictly the girl's fault for listening to him. Men need to put their children first as well. Those were his blood children he stole a future from, over a rap album. Yet, it wouldn't have mattered if they were merely his girlfriend's children. When you get into a relationship, you take responsibility for the children in that relationship whether they are your blood seed or not. Some will argue that, but the arguments are moot in this case as these were his blood children.

There's a problem with a fatherless community where it's fatherless because the men run from being fathers, and would rather live that matriarchal life without adult responsibilities. It's like when black men talk about how a woman can not raise a boy into a man. That's great, so be the man to raise that boy into a man. You can't do that with the attitude you display above.

If black men want to be taken seriously as men by black women and by non-blacks of either gender, black men have to take being a man seriously. Your attitude is not indicative of taking manhood seriously.

She got 114k and only had to take 40k out of that to essentially fund her childrens' education. She couldn't even think of her kids enough to do that. She couldn't set aside some money to keep herself out of jail. There's no defense for her behavior. All she had to do was set aside money for her kid's future and she was free to do whatever with the money.
