The same goes for all these dudes with label deals. :yeshrug:

It's always ironic reading some story about a rapper on a label under a popping artist, example MMG or Grand Hustle, waiting on clearance from Atlantic or Def Jam. Dudes walking around claiming boss status because the labels let them have their own office inside their building. But can't even put out "their" own artists without permission.

Dudes aren't bosses....dudes are managers....actually, dudes are Super A&R reps really. The large conglomerates give rappers label deals, so they can find other artists and do all the leg work that labels don't want to do anymore....A&R, artist development, PR, etc.

So, instead of having street teams and PR, now labels just say, " Rick, you have your label...MMG. Now, you're a CEO...or a boss" :skip:

Now, instead of Def Jam having to do all the leg work, and pay the cost, to find Meek Mill, Rick Ross does it. Then Ross develops Meek Mill, gets his buzz going, takes him on tour and only brings him to the major when Meek Mill is ready to do numbers. Saves the major money and time. And no more dealing with artists.

Majors are like the Godfather and these label deal rappers are the underbosses who manage soldiers. The Godfather delegates via the underbosses and only deals with the soldiers when absolutely necessary. But they still determine when the album gets released, the "image" and what the budget is.

Peace

You definitely got the artist development right but the artist creates their own LLC and are usually in partnership with these major labels so they get a significant portion of their underlings income.

I always knew Wayne was getting screwed on money. I remember him saying in an interview something to the effect of "I don't really worry about my money....as long as I got a house and cars...i'm good." :dwillhuh:

BM had this nikka brainwashed and/or intimidated for all these years.

Maybe it really hit him this weekend when his baby mama bought their daughter a nicer car than him. :troll:

that was in those pre sqad to sqad smoked out apartment vids.
when, he had that convertible porsche and supposedly was in the cmb doghouse then as well.

where he then tried to pander and fool anyone he could.
now, he is back where he started again.

these sellout nikkaz is lame and real talk.
if not for payola to cover up all this shyt.
plus, the industry agenda to try to ruin rap and the culture.
none of that shyt would have made a profit.

so, i don't feel sorry for the nikka at all.

fukk that nikka, and cash money, for eternity.

Fukk a tweet, we need a diss record Wayne. If he dropped a record going off on CMR & Baby and brought those 06-07 bars back, he'd be god status. I know he probably values his relationship with Baby more than that, but right now we're here for the fukkery Wayne.

you have to know how to write a rhyme on an elite level.
to pull off a diss record and make it quality.
we already know he can't and doesn't write.
plus, we know from the past he can't make a diss record to save his life.
plus, his writing pool is actually huff as hell and all payola.

so, how in the fukk is weezy gonna make a potent diss to cashmoney.

he ain't no icecube, with del as his cousin.

You knew it would end like this though...how was a label called 'Young Money' going to sustain itself when Wayne is in his 30's, Nicki is in her 30's and Drake is pushing 30? The got damn weed carriers on the label are in their 30's (Millz and Gudda). Lil Twist is/was talentless and Tyga been peaked as an artist. Baby peeped that shyt out and had a gameplan to latch on and feed off Thug and Quan's wave to keep Cash Money relevant with the young folks. So you have 'Rich Gang'. Problem is...Quan and Thug ain't Wayne and Drake. Both them niccas will be lucky to be relevant IN THE SOUTH in 2-3 years. What you are witnessing is the fall of Cash Money.
