The fact that the dude who basically hit the game-clinching 3 should probably have been fouled out does not sit well with us. Bohannon getting hacked is negated by the fact that the refs let every hack down there in the paint. We didn't get those calls either.

The lead going up to 7 with that little time left off that terrible call on Trey was the difference in the game. They were going back and forth and at that point, a lead like that was insurmountable for either squad. Beilein also just got outcoached. Not taking advantage of Hardway being guarded by Smith all game and causing a mismatch and getting shooters open was a problem. At the end of the day, we didn't know how to execute down the stretch.

I agree as far as Hancock goes. I disagree about he play down low. First of all, Mich got a lot of calls against Louisville's agressive d (which is what kept them in the game, being in the bonus so early), and Mich didn't go nearly as hard in the paint. Hardaway did get plays called for him, and sadly a couple rimmed out on him. Those offensive boards killed Mich.

Walt, you're on point with pretty much everything you're posting .. but the fouls called on Louisville were in fact fouls. The refs didn't give us ANYTHING. You know how the old saying goes.. play defense with your feet and DONT REACH. That's what Louisville did and it cost them in the first half.

Behanan was a monster in the paint, and Siva did his thing too. Dude was getting to the paint at will. Pretty much broke the d down and allowed Behanan to eat of the glass from bigs having to step up.

basically lville beat them from many different angles....it wasn't just one factor....they just where the better team and wanted it more... people forget these dudes are damn near experts at coming back from behind they been doing it all season....so it was inevitable

UM came out gunning early second half and held a 5 point lead eventually lville attack intensity was to much.....they also beat there selves by missing those free throws in the clutch...

either way it was the best championship game i ever seen...so props to both teams
