Have been at the bottom for almost a decade. Absolutely pathetic and a failure as a franchise in general. They need to clean house when it comes to defense: scouts, talent evaluators, coaching, etc

Here's the biggest problem with the defense:

GM: college DB
HC: former DB coach
Asst. HC: former DB coach
DC: former DB coach

The top 4 decision makers for that side of the ball are ALL DB guys. They put too much faith in our secondary and their ability to coach them up so we're running this weak ass, DB-centric scheme that simultaneously tries to make their jobs easier by running simple ass standard coverages while making them much harder by putting undue pressure on them to make all the plays. We need somebody with some say so with a front 7 background. I'm hoping that Rah has been hands-off with the defense thus far and is ready to step in because him and Lake are probably too cool for him to fire him midseason. If this is really Rah's vision for the defensive scheme though....
