I'm from SF 80-90's
Homelessness has always been a problem.
There have always been more homeless whites in the city then any other group.
In hoods like hp, Sunnyvale, Doublerock, Fillmore homelessness was usually just crackhead.
Flip it to present day the amount of white homeless people have tripled, most of them meth head, fentanyl heads..
meth is cheap as hell.
anything you want honestly.
Hit the TL's but you didn't here it from me.
The hondos are out 24/8
Talk about dedication
I gotta respect it.

It’s crazy how SF’s reputation is just now taking a hit when it comes to crime. Because Oakland has always had a high murder rate and because it’s predominately black, people never know about SF’s hoods and gangs. A lot of people haven’t heard of areas like Bayview-Hunters Point, Sunnyvale, Lakeview, Uptown Filmoe-Downtown Filmoe, Doublerock, etc. SF for a time had a higher black on black murder rate than Oakland from what I heard. But the image of the white hippies, lingered on way longer than it should’ve. And plus the image of being THE LGBTQI Mecca. Things typically not associated with the black working class.SF has always had a homeless problem. The only difference now is that the homeless are now in (White/Asian) neighborhoods where they weren't before. Wasn't an issue when it was only in Black and Latin hoods.
Car break ins have always been a thing too. Same for Druggies using in broad daylight.
Gun violence and gang wars was off the charts in them days.
The only people who complain about it aren't from here or grew up on the rich parts of the city. Now that it's affecting them, they want to exaggerate on how bad it is. But it was all fine when blacks and latins were the only ones affected.
