Richmond has always been grimy

Everything about that place is shady

Refuse to go there unless I have to

That place is a shythole. Immediately felt the vibe change when up there.

Vallejo is worse tho, easily the most unlikable area in the Bay. The air changes, shyt gets dark and gloomy, and it suddenly gets hard to breathe and shyt. You start coughing and shyt gets all foggy for no reason

It has been. Up until the early 2000's Richmond was wild af. It's mostly just working class mexicans now, sprinkled with some white colonizers here and there. North and central richmond still ain't the place to be even during the day with the exception of a few pockets here and there though. Most people from out of the area will be driving through the south though, since it's off the biggest thoroughfare which is san pablo ave.

I used to work at Honda there between MacDonald and Cutting back in the day

then I worked at that Chase by the mall , full bullet proof windows random pit bulls running in randomly all the time had armed security from open to close


with that said, its calmed down, an extreme amount.. think even a year or 2 agos they had 0 or 1 murders for a whole year (used to be murder capital of california for like 10 years in a row or some shyt )

Sounds like when crossing the border from el cerrito to richmond pre-early 2000's. shyt was like a disney movie with all the glowing hyena eyes on you all of a sudden lol
