yo i think its one thing u can really tell bout people who hustled outside their own hoods.................aint nobody give a flying fck about u my nikka.............we all chasing the almighy dollar ..............you swimming with sharkss you have to make sure you act accodingly...................puff raped em all right and was mad shady but again they didnt have to sign ............could have tried to negotiate a better contract.......something anything would have been better.....

These are dudes from the hood...negotiate with what? What exactly do they have that they can bring to the table and argue with puff over...

It's like at my job where I have to manage large IT contracts...you will sign the contract the company I work for gives you or you will be thanked for your time and shown the exit...their is no going back and forth over terms...once we write it out as a contract...you can sign or you can walk...makes no difference to the company I work for cause the next guy to sign the next contract is coming in at 1:00 pm...

I can only imagine the look on puff face if three nikkas from the hood with no track record for anything said...nah we want our publishing or we want to negotiate our publishing...

You never would have heard of them dudes if they hadn't have signed that contract...

"Didn't have to sign" is relative to living conditions...when I was selling crack I would have signed a slave deal contract...cause you know...my only other option at the time was...selling crack...and I'd rather be a slave to a record label than to be risking my freedom over some crack rocks everyday...

These nikkas got raped so bad, they're luck they still have the LOX name.

To my Coli brehs trying to make it big, if you are signing a contract to a Def Jam or something, always get full ownership of your publishing, the correct amount of royalties, and creative control.

I ain't a musical industry genius, but when you hear about so many artists to get raped for their publishing constantly, that should tell you read that damn contract.
thats easier said than done bruh

That's the point, if you choose a fukked up contract over selling crack you can't really complain about the fukked up contract afterwards...

Plus, the Lox isn't the only hood group that came up during that era, it's not like Bad Boy was the only label in NY and they HAD to sign with Puff or die starving in the streets...right?

Was anybody else trying to sign them at the time? If not...then their you go...

I'm not saying that Puff should be a charity case...he is running a business after all...but if all that stuff is true that they say...then like i said that is a type of greed I can't even fathom

TYRONE GA!
thats easier said than done bruh

nikkaz so desperate for a deal and these companies know it. They'll sell their souls and future earning potential for a bullshyt advance that comes out of your portion of album sales. It's disgusting. That's why Indy Artists who blow up get better deals since they already have established fanbases.

This is vulgar. :scust: This is some soul burning shyt.

The tribe tried to warn folk "Record company people are shady", but nobody listened. :mjcry:

How the fukk is Diddy able to walk the streets?:dahell:

he's not just WALKING THE STREETS....he's dancing on these fools in the most HUMILIATING manner

it's more condescending than Birdman's palm rub

I don't see how any fan of hip hop can cheer, condone and champion this type of robbery. Its one thing to clown nikkas like Juvenile for leaving and going back, leaving only to return again to Cash Money but this shyt here is unjustifiable. Dudes did ONE album with Puff and that was in 97, Paid 3 MILLION in 98 to get out and go to the Ruff Ryders yet Puff still taking a cut off what they make even 10 years prior. Imagine you leaving your former employer 10 years ago and he still getting like 20% of your cut even though you don't do any business with him or have nothing to do with him. You nikkas wouldn't be screaming that "They should have read the contract shyt" then.
