It depends on the engineer and the performer how good it sounds live. Future and his live engineer are complete trash.
I hate Travis Scott's music but he got off here![]()

Meanwhile I posted this in the Hov thread...
Man these youngins don't even know what a real hiphop performance supposed to sound like
Future don't even speak English and he still had to lip sing. N*gga sound like he gargling water
Y'all need y'alls asses kicked for letting this happen to H.E.R.
Hip Hop was so beautiful. Not well dressed, not always pleasant, but a natural beauty.
Contemporary Rap is completely hollow.
They will ignore this. To much truth. Blinded by flashy lights and they think it's his performanceOf course, cuz he garb-o.
I don't see why Jay-Z gets credited as a good performer. I just think most credit him based on the production. A Jay-Z show has alot of production money (where the stage, sound and everything can sound better). But he himself isn't that good as a performer IMO. He doesn't really do shyt. Then him being a pop icon basically nowadays of course cats are gonna rock with it, cuz he world famous. Same with Dr. Dre really. He
always has a huge production behind it. Of course production is a part of it, but it's unfair to say they're the best when they all don't have the same budgets.
Hard Knock Life tour? Not so much. That was he still was fresh out and had most people rocking with Meth + Red, X & them way more. So..
Now of course he said he improved since then which i understand but i still don't see it. Same with Kanye really, but more-so with Jay-Z.
Like i said i think y'all really goofed by the production being so large.
Now Busta Rhymes is one of the greatest performers. Don't matter if it's on a award show, club appearance, tour etc - to me THAT'S being great live & being a great performer.
Same with Method Man & Redman too. They been energetic, live, does their duo thing in a very special way where they mix in stuff to deliver their lyrics.
X? Same, even tho of course the drugs & alcohol has taken a toll. 2pac was another one. Public Enemy. Roots. Cypress Hill. DJ Quik. Ice Cube. Xzibit. KRS. Kane. A few others too.
