We used to marry young we we had nothing and then build as a team.

And marrying young is generally still a bad idea. You're still impulsive and have no idea who you are, let alone what you want in a life partner. Which is why divorce rates fall with age. I'm sure another piece of that is as you get older *HOPEFULLY* you are making more money, which makes marriage and other things easier... which is why income is another inverse correlation for divorce.

Yea true. A lot of times, people don't think they have a problem with money, or they don't see the value in saving, planning and budgeting. I just got into Dave Ramsey a couple months ago and he mentions how married couples should budget together, not have one person do all the budgeting. I know so many coworkers (mainly men) who say their spouses handle all the finances, they don't even know if they are getting paid for their overtime because they don't even check their paychecks.
