I legit can't even fathom how people can choose money over family. I've come from a family that's sacrificed a lot just to help out uncles/aunties etc just for them to forget about us now that they doing better than us.

my girl's dad died this past year. he was in his mid 60's.
he biked over 2,000 miles last year, hit the gym, ate well....cardiac arrest while golfing...zipped up in plastic.
shyt was crazy.

Did he have a will on file with the probate court? If not, you and your siblings should go to the court as soon as possible and let them know you're his children. Unless he had a wife, everything he has belongs to y'all.
My brother did us all dirty when my dad passed. Went and told the court he was the only child, sold his house for way less than it was worth but enough to clear the mortgage and pocketed the difference.

Sorry to hear that. I lost my mom back in march so I know the feeling. Hopefully you can use the money to make sure everything is taken care of and still have some left over to share with the remaining family. Did he have a will or someone to handle his assets after he passed?
