We were not close...I'd speak when I see her, but that's about it. She used to bad-mouth my mom as a child,.....so I really had no use for her after that. Should I feel obligated to go to the funeral? :patrice:

Just go. Show up for a hour and then leave. You don't wanna get into fights later with family just cause you didn't show up.
Not close with anyone on that side of the family anyway

Sounds like you already made up your mind :ehh:

I went through what you went through though a couple of years ago and I just ended up going last minute.

I would go.

Its not about how you felt about your grandma. She's dead...she doesnt know who goes and who doesnt go to her funeral.

I would go to support my pops. He just lost his mother. Its about respect. You not showing up will cause unnecessary problems between your pops and his family.

We already dont get along...so that's a non-factor bro

it sound like you already made your mind up that you are not goin...so go ahead and do what you're gonna do.

i dont know your situation...but he just lost his mother. that fact might transcend whatever issues you and your pops have. if you lost your mother, would you expect him to support you at her funeral?
