Went out for Etiopian food with my white girlfriend last night. She was shook.

How can you like naan and curry when large amounts of Ethiopian food is just that?

Injeera is nothing like naan. Its spongy with a weird texture. And India food is just better than Ethi food to me. I dont see or taste the similarity. Some of the wat is okay, but Im not really moved by their cuisine.

It's alright I can only eat in once in a while, there's like 10 Ethiopian restraunts In Oakland and it's mostly filled with cacs, don't see what the big deal about the food is

They need to open up soul food places, cuz how you got all this African food and no AA food and the little we do cacs ain't going there. They opened a fake ass lousinana place in Berkeley owned by a New Orleans cac and the food is terrible , but it's filled with cacs

Yall gotta make em breh. There are soul food restaurants in the DMV just like there are Ethiopian/Eritrean/Jamaican/West African spots because they're either historical spots from back in the day or Black folk out here take the initiative to make soul food spots. Cacs always like going for exotic foods to get away from their own bland cuisine so of course they gon hit an Ethiopian spot or a place that claims to have authentic N.O. cuisine (If they can't make me a 'gator Po Boy they ain't shyt to me).

Nah I was talking more on the types of food, not specifically tastes e.g. bread and stews.

I like Indian food too. Luckily I live in quite a South Asian area so I get that good authentic shyt

I ate Ethiopian food in silver Springs before. It had surprised me. It was good but growing up I questioned food that didn't come from the caribbean. I didn't appreciate eating with my hands but it's a different culture and I got over it after a few bites.
