I never seen a ps4 in the wild since launch. Amazon is your best bet. Get signed up for alerts so you can snag yours.
I copped my bros ps4 from Amazon the night of launch at midnight. It showed "out of stock" until that very moment.

Xboxes on the other hand are almost always available.

Went to Wal-mart today and overheard a group of teens talking about buying a system. One of the dudes wanted to pick up an Xbone and his friends were like really? You don't want that dude because you have to buy games and download it online on some weird shyt..Dude told his boy to grab a PS4 or a 360. I was like damn..Even teens today months after lauch are confused about the xbone. I walked by the xbox area and seen about 6-7 boxes cramped in there and no PS4. They didn't even have a PS4 area stocking PS4s cause that shyt out of stock.

Also, i noticed that Walmart let you actually play the PS4 while the xbone is on display only.
