I adore my father's mother, even though I rarely see her. (She lives in Trinidad.)

My mother's parents and I are a completely different breed. Actually, my mother's whole side of the family.

I don't feel close to them at all. I merely go through the motions to remain civil. I know that sounds bad, but I imagine they feel the same way about me.

My mothers parents are still here I love nanny more than life itself and my granddad is the only man alive Im legit afraid of.

I love my grandmammas My mother's mother damn near raised me, knows me better than my mom, and she's wonderful... she's like zen grandma. While dad's mom is like ninja grandma, always come through at the toughest times, and you can trust her to knock some sense into ya, she has no chill.

Never was close with my granddads. One of them was murdered when I was a baby, the other only calls me on birthdays.

My paternal grandmother is hopefully someplace very hot and fiery right now. All my other grandparents either died before I got to know them, or are great people.

To all my grandparents. I lost all them when I was young. Grandma and grand pops on my dad side by time I was 14. My grandma on my moms side passed two years ago and that shyt still fukk with me. I was closer to her than anybody else in my family. I miss my grandma Jean to this day. My "granddad" on my moms side got like 9 kids and I haven't seen him since I was like 5-6. nikka stay hittin my mom and aunt up for bread tho cuz they doing well and the rest of his kids some fukk nikka

Yeah. My dad's mom and grandmother helped raise me. Along with my mom and dad. It was weird though cause my grandma would talk so much shyt about my dad when she only lived around the corner from him. Sometimes she would just take me from my dad just to do it on some boss shyt.

My grandfather on my mom's side was really good to me. I went almost everywhere with him as a kid-
Hanging out with him at the corner barbershop when he kicked it with his antique buddies to play checkers was some great times. He was also very protective of me and nobody fukked with me or his property. I think he had a lowkey rep of fukking peeps up because nobody gave him shyt to my recollection. Just the mention of his name had brehs hands off.

When he died, I think I for a whole month straight. He was my road dog most definitely. To this day, I miss him.
I loved my grandmother but we didn't share that same bond that I had with gramps. She had her mean days tho.

On my father's side in New York where I'm from, the roles were the opposite...my gramps was a a'ight but was grumpy while my grandmother was as sweet as grandmothers come. I bonded with her right off the bat.

Funny how that goes sometimes.

Lost my mom's dad back in '97

13 kids all by the same woman he married when she was 16.

I love both set of grandparents but I'm closest to my mom's mother.

She still whispers curse words when she fuses at you


My dad's dad wanted me to box when found out I was a lucky lefty.

My pops didn't think I had the demenor for it so he kept me in the books and let me play football and basketball


My dad's mother used to send me and my cousins a dollar everyday to get snacks at school I thought that lady was rich.
