It really doesn’t make sense because Thibs use to run Boozer/Noah out there and has done double bigs before with one of them always being better offensively and then other doing the dirty work. This isn’t rocket science for Thibs.

Part of me thinks it’s them trying to do a 5 out offensive scheme or 4-1 with Hart and he rather keep Hart at the two than move him to then bench.

Another part they don’t want him to be injured because he is there best trade piece if healthy.

They ain’t going to tell us, but we’ll know eventually.

Love what Mitch does for this team on the defensive end but the guy is brittle as all hell.

Hopefully he can stay healthy for an entire postseason, however long that may be for us.

Wondering why a fragile guy who just recently came off injury who was even getting Hack a Shaq’d doesn’t start or play major minutes

Thibs loves Mitch…he’s started most of his tenure in press conferences he had him down as a starter. Thibs would love to max him out but you have to be extremely cautious.

I wouldn’t trade Mitch even with his injury risk he’s a steal for his impact and production at his price point and he’s been a lifer

Yeah but you’re conflating. I didn’t say play him major minutes. I said start him and play him with KAT. Thibs just started playing Mitch and KAT together and we seen them trade guys Thibs loves before, he’ll keep it a buck they traded all of them except Mitch.

Good thread.

The fact that Hart hasn't consistently made teams pay for that or taken advantage of that match up all season is reason alone to remove him from the starting lineup & KNOW that him with the starters isn't working. I have no faith in Thibs this series to make adjustments & do what's needed to put the Knicks in the best position to win
