Don't get me wrong, I tend to agree with your sentiment but when you look at history, humans consistently think the world's coming to an end. (Eg book or revelations)

we have never been a few years away from something being smarter than humans , where that rate of intellengence can blast way beyond us....never. I dont think people understand
