I had it. SNES was still the overall better console tho. I had both as well. Both served their purpose. This rivalry made way more sense than today's console rivalry cause these 2 consoles were damn near polar opposite. They was Goin tit for tat for a while. Sega had the better Aladdin game hands down. SNES had the better Lion King game. shyt like that. But overall SNES took the shyt and ran wit it as the gen progressed.
. Yup.. I agree. I had both. I got the snes about a year or two before the ps1 dropped, which was late in the game by then. I had to tuck my tail in and admit that I missed out on a lot. Luckily, I got to play metriod, Zelda, secret of mana, megaman x and chrono trigger. Those games have stuck with me all the way into my 30s.
I could pick up those games today, and know exactly where to go, what buttons to press, where all the items are... Etc..
Sega was like NES but with better graphics. It was just platformers mostly. The SNES elevsted gaming to another level.
Sega didn't have experiences like that...
