it was the era of the end of black folks in black neighborhoods... meaning after the riots and closing of majority of black businesses, black people got their insurance money and said fukk rebuilding i'll head to the valley, vegas, texas or somewhere in the midwest to start a new life..

plus it didn't help with end of affirmative action in california colleges... black and latinos college population went downhill

90 s music was better, art and design was more unique. movies have got better in general since then.

crime was much much higher, homicides in NY are 75% lower than their 90s peak.
