Got games here and there. But what really hurt was going to the arcade with like $2-$5 . Now that I can afford to go crazy in there, they are all gone.

considering I only got games twice a year unless I saved up, them demo disks held me over

I played that damn bloody roar demo like it was the full game. Same with MGS1.

Man it's crazy how nowadays I can buy the games I want but can't really play em all yet when I was younger it was hard to cop a $60+ game. My parents didn't get what games were so they thought once they bought a gaming console that was it.

They didn't know there were several different games. Before I had my first job I had to scrounge up money from saving up a few dollars here and there from allowance. Sometimes my brother would cop games that I wanted if he was interested.

I remember this nikka copping a Gamecube with Batman Vengeance instead of fukking Smash Bros I enjoyed that title nonetheless but I was seriously wondering if my bro was me that day.

I wanted Viewtiful Joe for GC once and skipped a professional haircut to save $10 and instead got my hair cut by my brother in the crib. Had a nikka looking funny in the light with uneven hair length and a unclear hairline for a week. Wasn't nothing worse than coppin a game and that shyt was ass. A breh was getting got back then at Gamestop because I'd rely on trade in credits to get new games.

My dad wasn't dropping 50 on a game he would only drop 20


I got love for my dad tho had a Nintendo sega and playstation

I was broke as fukk and those were the days you rented a game cuz it had a dope cover but that shyt was and probably would have got like a 2/10 from ign today but you still played the fukk out of it cuz you were too broke not to. I got 1 maybe 2 new games a year usually something I knew would be quality like mario or zelda. I think I had 30,000 career points in Live 95 alone just cuz it was the only game I got that year. Still all good memories

If there was an online trophy system back then like it was now, a nikka would have about 50 platinum trophies. Xmas and birthdays were the only time me and my brothers got games and we'd flip them joints 100 times doing everything there was possible to do in the game

Yall remember those WOAT new $10 playstation games that came out and when you bought em you were like then you got home and played them

Shout out to spec ops and those other take 2 games, they were good for shyts and giggles because of how terrible they were
