Also, Baltimore had 42 homicides in May, alone.Crime is declining rapidly in SF because of gentrification. I heard that gang shyt in L.A. ain't nowhere as serious as it used to be. It varies from city to city though. DC and NYC are also hella safer than they were in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's.

If Cali nikkas so whitewashed and feminine, then why do East Coast nikkas try to bang Blood and Crip? The West came with the hard music since day one in the 80's when the East Coast were rapping about rocking house parties, picking boogers and outrapping each other. 
Cali is a different animal. Cali hoods look nice in general, but are infamous throughout the world for a reason.

Break this down for me because I'm legit curious. I know in the Mission you have Nortenos and Surenos but I thought Surenos are supposed to be from Socal? So they move up to the Bay and rep Sureno? Seems counter intuitive
They try to expand their territory and Mexicans from L.A. and Mexico will move anywhere where they can get jobs. And damn near the entirety of Central America is flagging blue at this point. Fresh off the border Centro Americanos wear blue L.A. Dodgers hats as a default setting even if they never even step foot in Southern Cali. With Cali, it's definitely a pride thing. Surenos feel like they own Cali.

Do you know how big L.A. is?
The population of blacks in L.A. is 300,000. That's the about the same number of blacks as predominantly black city like Baltimore. And that's not even counting blacks in L.A. County in Long Beach, Compton, Gardena etc.Same thing with the Bay. There are about 100K blacks in Oakland. Oakland used to be 50% black from the 70's to the 90's. SF is only like 5% black, but there are about 50K blacks in SF. But the vast majority of black people in SF are poor and live in the projects in Hunter's Point, Sunnydale, Lakeview, Fillmoe, Alemany etc. There is no black professional class in SF like you have in ATL, DC and NYC. The jects in SF are no joke. Once they start shooting, they usually don't stop for days and even the cops are scared to slide through.

But some cities have a balance between black middle class and poverty. Predominantly black cities usually have a larger black middle class. For instance, DC and ATL have lots of upper middle class and rich black people. Go to U Street or H Street in DC and there are many upscale bars that cater to upper middle class black professionals. DC is known as the capital of bougie black folk for a reason. Where I'm from in SF, literally, the only place you see a lot of black folks is in the projects. Middle class blacks have been getting priced out of SF since the 70's when they raised the Fillmoe. SF has had the most acute case of black flight of any big city in the country. Hunter's Point used to be the place with the largest population of black owned businesses and black owned real estate in all of California in the 80's prior to the murder boom and the crack epidemic. The reason why SF's black murder rate was higher than Oakland for many years was because Oakland actually has a sizable black middle class whereas SF's black middle class has been long displaced. SF is a horrible city for young black men moreso than others.

What city/region turned Pac into a thug? It sure wasn't Baltimore or Harlem. 
Pac was a nerd nice guy De La Soul black hippe type of nikka when he was in B-More. He got beat up and bullied when he moved to Marin City because everybody was thugging. This is coming from someone raised in the Bay but residing in Maryland. 
In a predominantly black city, there are somewhat more opportunities for black people, period. Black folks run the city of Baltimore. I interviewed for a job working for the Baltimore city gov't a few years ago and there were nothing but black folks in that bytch. Only reason I didn't get the job is because my tech skills weren't competitive enough. Cost of living in Cali is high and there is no fallback industry that hires thousands of blacks like the federal gov't in DC. The end result is that more blacks are thugged out as a whole in certain cities out West. But cities are poorer and blacker as a whole in the East, so it does even out a bit.
