just for the record i was born in 89 im turning 24 on july 10
and plus i had a older brother who was a hip hop fan who taught me everything i know about rap
like i said i respect cube because as a mc he laid the foundation for pac
but pac took it way further then cube i mean cube as far as his solo career only had a two hot albums run amw and death certificate
pac had 5 classic albums imo
2pacalypse now
strictly 4 my nikkaz
me against the world
all eyez on me
and killuminati the 7 day theory
by the time pac signed to death row
cube was already burned out
and pac did'nt seem like he was going fall off do to him dropping all eyez on me and then getting ready to drop his classic album the 7 day theory album.
and you just proved my point. you're to young to know. even if you had an older bro. you were put up on stuff. i'm glad for you that you were exposed to the greatness of pacs early stuff. but lets be clear.
those first 2 albums you named WERE in now way CLASSICS, unless you're talking local bay area classics only. cause on one else felt that way about those albums. i've been riding with pac since he was a DU dancer. but i know for a fact those albums were not considered classics. stop with the over exaggerating .
his first classic album was the dear mama, shed so many tears album. EVERYONE knows this. that made people that slept on him for years, go back to the first 2 albums and take a peek, even then they wasnt up on those two albums like that yet. he then had to have all the controversial stuff going on in his life then to Da Row with dre, snoop and crew. and we know how he blew from there. it was like a 2nd explosion. then maka dropped, and he was murdered.
maka was his best album for some because he died and it was a crazy album to go out with. from the title to the mood of the album. on top of that if you were grown enough to get it, and you were blazin daily. that was a smokers Album for real. but the truth is, his best album without cheating with the 2 cd's. was probably that Me against the world, album. that album was right thru and thru.
then 2nd would be all eyez on me, since he had songs that covered everything. but it took 2 albums to pull it off. maka is a very close 3rd. and this is just a pure honest opinion. and those talking about they thought pac would'v kept blowing up are not being realistic. the reason the youngins like yourself are so into pac now is because the way he went out. he went out like a street nucca. wilding out, then getting shot up. and leaving us a gem of an album. all those makaveli 2, 3 4, 10, etc. crap they were pushing was not that great. it was just us fans wanting to hear anything pac. we didnt care what it sounded like. if pacs voice was on it. it was gold for us. but those albums were not HOT..Period.
what probably would've happened is we would've grown board with pac saying "THUG LIIIIFE" and saying the same thing about how thugs cant get any love and how they need love to(more or less). " this is for my THUG nuccas,, strictly for my Thug nuccas"
how many times , albums could you stand him saying those same lines in that same cadence before even you as a fan started to realize "its old now?" without him dying thats what would have happened. and no pac would not have reinvented himself. he wasnt that type of artist. he was who he was, wild and crazy rapper pac with a lot of sense to boot and jail bird/drug addicted, b panthers for parents.
