Let's ignore what rhyme king said,

by credible standards, Pac has 4 classic albums

Thug Life: Volume 1
Me Against the World
All Eyez on Me
The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory

That body of work is greater than Ice Cube's but it's not a complete landslide, it's just top 5 vs. the #1 greatest of all-time

I think it's even but I can see someone picking either one. Cube to me would be even more highly though of if he didn't go 5 years between releasing Lethal Injection and War and Peace. In that time frame other rappers came along and cats forgot how nice Cube was on the mic. After releasing 3 great to good albums Cube still missed the boat during that 94 to 97 period when everyone was doing huge numbers. I would have liked to see how highly he would be rated if he didn't go on that hiatus.

:ehh: 50/50 on this one. Both are great. And let's be honest, if Pac was still alive, his career would be exactly like Cube's career. :pachaha: Might have seen Pac in First Sunday with Cube.

cube did'nt have no where near the range that pac had
in terms content and flows has cube ever rap in double time flow ? no

You honestly can't go wrong with either choice.

But I'd take Cube's Amerikkka's Most Wanted and Death Certificate over Pac's whole catalogue any day. Those two albums taught me shyt at a young age, that I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to know that young.

Nobody had narratives like Cube back then. There was social commentary, street shyt, comedy, lessons about STD's, diss records, straight rappin', political content, etc. Dude couldn't be touched back then.

Fistful of jewels
lol @ people thinking Pac was the only versatile one because he wrote songs for females. Whoopdeefukking whoo.

Cube was as versatile as any MC.

"Who's The Mack?"

Straight gangsta mack
Straight gangsta mack
Straight gangsta mack
Straight gangsta mack
Who's the mack? is it some brother in a big hat
Thinking he can get any bytch with a good rap?
Rolling in a fukked-up Lincoln
Leaning to the side So it looks like he's sinking
Into that leopard interior
This nikka thinks every girl's inferior
To his tongue, get a dumb bytch sprung
As she's selling more butt
Don't even get a cut of the money
His name is Sonny
And he know the play
And hope to od that he don't find a runaway
That's looking to become a star
He'll have your ass in and out of every car
With every on and Rick, sucking every john's dikk
Come short of the money, get your ass kicked
You don't like it but you still call him hunk
Last night the nikka put yo' ass in the trunk
You wanna leave but Sonny started talking fast
And it make you wanna go and sell more ass
He's getting rich, you his bytch and it's like that
Now ask yourself
Who's the mack?
Who's the mack?

It is that fool that wanna pump the gas
Give you a sad story and you give him cash?
He starts macking and macking and you sucking
Quick to say I'm down on my luck
And you give a dollar or a quarter and he's on his way
Then you see his sorry ass the next day
Are you the one getting played like a sucka?
Or do you say, "Get a job, motherfukker"?
Every day, the story gets better
He's wearing dirty pants and a funky-assed sweater
He claims he wants to get something to eat
But every day you find yourself getting beat
He gets your money and you run across the street don't look both ways
'cause he's in a daze
And almost get his ass hit for the crack
Now ask yourself
Who's the mack?
Who's the Mack?

Is it that nikka in that club asking
Have you ever been in a hot tub?
I know the game so I watch it unfold
When i see the boy pinned to your earlobe
He's talking shyt and you crack a smile
When he tell you that he can go buck wild
For a girl like you and make it feel good
You know it's drama but it sound real good
He started dragging and hopefully he can start tagging
The p*ssy so he can keep bragging
He say, "I'm 'a leave baby, can you go with me?"
The p*ssy so he can keep bragging
You wanna do it but you feeling like a H-O-E
You grab his hand, you leave and it's over
'Cause the nikka ain't nothing but a rover
Ya knew the game and you still ended up on your back
Now ask yourself
Who's the Mack?
Macking is the game and everybody's playing
And as long as you believe what they saying
Consider the a M.A.C.K. and with no delay
They are gonna get all the play
But when it comes to me, save the drama for your momma
It's Ice Cube and you know that I'm a
Mack in my own right
When it comes to rhyme and rap
'cause all i do is kick facts
Unlike Iceberg Slimm
And all of them be claimin' be P.I.M.P.
No, I'm not going out that way
I'm just a straight up N I double G A
Next time U get over on a fool
And you did the shyt like real smooth
Thank Ice Cube for giving up the facts
And ask yourself
Who's the Mack?
Straight gangsta Mack
Straight gangsta Mack
Straight gangsta Mack
Straight gangsta Mack

"I Wanna Kill Sam"

"The army is the only way out for a young black teenager.
We'll provide you with housing.
We'll provide you with education.
We'll provide you with everything you need to survive in life.
We'll help you to be the best soldier in the U.S. of A."

"Because we do more before 7 A.M.
than most ******s do in their whole lifetime."

[Cube] Huh-huh, huh-HAH..
"I'm comin!" [repeat 3X]
[Cube] I'm comin!

[Verse One]
I wanna kill him, cause he tried to play me like the trick
but you see, I'm the wrong nikka to fukk with
I got the A to the motherfukkin K, and it's ready to rip
Slapped in my banana clip
And I'm lookin.. (lookin..)
Is he in Watts, Oakland, Philly or Brooklyn?
It seems like he got the whole country behind him
so it's sort of hard to find him
But when I do, gotta put my gat in his mouth
Pump seventeen rounds make his brains hang out
Cause the shyt he did was uncalled for
tried to fukk a brother up the ass like a small whore
And that shyt ain't fly
So now I'm settin up, the ultimate drive-by
And when you hear this shyt,
it make the world say "DAMN! .. I wanna kill Sam."

"Do the nikkaz run this moth-er-fukk-er?" [repeat 2X]

[door knocking]
"Momma!! Some man at the front do'!"
"Sit yo' ass down."
"Uhh hi.. I have reason to believe that someone in this household
has just turned eighteen, am I correct?"
[Verse Two]
Here's why I wanna kill the punk
cause he tried to take a motherfukkin chunk of the funk
He came to my house, I let 'em bail in
cause he said he was down with the L.M.
He gave up a little dap
then turned around, and pulled out a gat
I knew it was a caper
I said, "Please don't kill my mother," so he raped her
Tied me up, took me outside
and I was thrown in a big truck
And it was packed like sardines
Full of nikkaz, who fell for the same scheme
Took us to a place and made us work
all day and we couldn't have shyt to say
Broke up the families forever
and to this day black folks can't stick together
And it's odd..
Broke us down, made us pray - to his God
And when I think about it,
it make me say "DAMN! .. I wanna kill Sam."

"I'm comin!" [repeat 3X]

[Verse Three]
Now in ninety-one, he wanna tax me
I remember, the son of a bytch used to axe me
and hang me by a rope til my neck snapped
Now the sneaky motherfukker wanna ban rap
and put me under dirt or concrete
But God, can see through a white sheet
Cause you the devil in drag
You can burn your cross well I'll burn your flag
Try to give me the H-I-V
so I can stop makin babies like me
And you're givin dope to my people chump
Just wait til we get over that hump
Cause yo' ass is grass cause I'ma blast
Can't bury rap, like you buried jazz
Cause we stopped bein whores, stop doin floors
So bytch you can fight your own wars
So if you see a man in red white and blue
gettin janked by the Lench Mob crew
It's a man who deserves to buckle
I wanna kill Sam cause he ain't my motherfukkin Uncle!
"We've gone nowhere in 200 years?"
"That's correct."
"We-we-we've gone nowhere in 200 years?"
"That's correct."
"We-we-we've gone nowhere in 200 years?"
"That's correct."

If you gotta ask that question and you really feel that way, then YOU are the one that truly doesnt know pac
i'll say it again. yall and this over blown pac stuff has always been funny to me. i'm on the west coast. been a pac fan before 99.9% of yall even knew the guy existed. yall got with pac on that dear mama/so many tears album, really got with him when he was all over the news with cases and craziness. then he came back with the goat west coast hiphop label death row.

then he died. yall were LATE to the pac party. and then yall try to tell people who knew better who pac was. pure nonsense. i aint buying it.

unless you're 27+ and born in the bay area. I aint hearing you. cause only the bay can put me up on some pac game that i never knew about being from L.A.

i might let you slide since you at least thru out same song. you're obviously one of the few ORIGINAL pac fans. the rest of these clowns are late comer fans that hopped on the bandwagon once white girls were all up on him after they were told "pac is the greatest ever "

Pac hands down.

As for taking what cube did and going further with it, it's not really that he took his lane and ran with it, or did it better...he added another dimension to it.

He added introspection, and empathy on a level that you can't really do when you're looking "outward" and commenting on what you're seeing, which was cubes style.

I was a little kid in the early 90s but, even then I knew Cube was a thorough ass nikka. He repped that "young, ghetto but, socially conscious Cali nikka" shyt so well :wow:

Yall so concerned with who's the GOAT. Pac, Cube...they both the godfathers to me, enshrined in the Gangsta rap memorial somewhere like Thomas Jefferson & Abraham Lincoln, along with Eazy, Dre and Snoop. You cant marginalize their contributions because Pac had the most success....Pac came last....after they had already laid the groundwork and kicked the doors down.

i'm rolling with Pac on this.

Pac basically played Ice Cube's role in his first 2 albums and then he can do other shyt. Relationships "Do for Love" emotional "So many tears" hood stories "Breda's got a baby", hatred "hit em up.. Cube does that well too lol"

i just prefer 2pac
