But haven't we learned by now that whites have never needed a reason to kill black people? It slowed down after the Civil Rights movement (slowed down, not stopped) to get us complacent again, but it has gone back to the status quo. They don't need justification to kill black people because they can get off free when they do it. A native vs immigrant fight would bring them out, but both of our asses are going to be bleeding in the streets, not just natives, which I'm sure natives would have already considered if they attack immigrants to begin with.

I had this problem with Nigerians in college, They have this we're better than African Americans mentality. To be honest it's kind of disgusting. Now do all Nigerians feel that way? I doubt it, I'm not even fully sure 50 percent of them do; however the sample size is really strong. I didn't have to many problems with Carribeans tho.

I roomed and am still friends with a lot of them (a lot of Haitians and Jamaicans)...I didn't realize this was a thing til one of my old roommates hit me with the "well, you just a black nikka anyway with no culture or pride" I was floored to say the least. I had to educate that man, I told him bruh, while y'all think you better than us, trust this, THEY still look at you the way they see me, no difference. Two years later, we still friends

Yea, in America idk how we can afford to not give positive vibes to one another. Plights are way to similar to allow the master clan to continue to divide us. My roommate(dude is like a brother to me) is Nigerian and he held some pretty bleak views of blacks in America, but I had to and let him know that we are different chapters in the same damn story. When he was directly exposed to how white people can simply lump us together at the office he started to see what I was spitting all these years. The key is I never him when he would tell me his views on blacks. Just let him cook and find out and then hit him with that...."We're all in this together"

Besides, black americans put in some work to make this USA shyt a little more friendly for our Caribbean, African, ect brehs to come over and eat. So

growing up my best friends were jamaican and the other was trini and i'm AA. i literally never heard of this divisive shyt until i got older/on the net.

west indians and AA's dont really beef like that in real life in my experience.

The only group I remember people clowning like that were Haitians. I didnt even know any people from africa until i got much older.

I have no contempt for anyone. Save the cry baby stories about being called names as a kid when Black immigrants are MURDERED in majority Black nations. AAs have more than accommodated any of you.

This article is more complicated and more complex than many make it here seems. I can tell you as a Haitian descent male growing up in Miami, AAs would clown you if you were Haitian or even would try to beat you up. This led to constant fights between Haitians and AAs and animosity. So Haitians just stuck together and fought back. This is what led to a lot of known Haitian gangs in Miami. Things did get better over time but late 80s and early 90s shyt wasn't so gravy. Most AAs I interacted with were from Liberty City , Overtown and Opa Locka(the hood), so that was my perception of AAs.

Moving to Arkansas(AAs there were super welcoming, friendly, the country girls liked that my accent was different), dating AA women, making friends with more African-American women/men and also learning more about AA history changed my view. I have zero issue making AA , Caribbean and African friends these days. That's who I surround myself with.

Anyways, blacks of all cultures are affected one way or another by this where they view each other as less and whites as better. Better she figures it now than later.

Yeah I didn't realize how some cities are like this. Where I'm from, most of us were cool and there wasn't beef like that. I heard Miami and NJ/NYC is where AA's and Africans/Haitians had beef. I've dealt with a few Nigerians who tried to fukk with me for no reason but I just chalked it up to them having bad experiences in America. I knew too many cool Nigerians to feel negativity towards them or look down on them. shyt's stupid and I'm not a stupid dude. I never had any issues with Haitians. I will cut any black person off who looks down on other black people while giving a pass to cacs. I've seen that a few times, damn near tap dancing for cacs while looking down on AAs .

Okay, I didn't have any problems with any carribean students either. That's what I said. I was talking about Nigerians specifically. I'm not sure where we going with this.

Now I give you credit for explaining our history to that ignorant guy, that's a lot better than what I would've done.
