Interesting....so NOBODY has ever had a perfect game triple double, which he just did last night, with thousands of people in the building to witness it and it was on television, but that's fake news and B.S.? :jbhmm:

The agendas and narratives are fascinating 'round hurr......

You missed the point pal.

The thing about the Rockets is I don't think they've overachieved at all really. They won 56 games two years ago with Dwight Howard missing half the season and were the 2nd seed, if anything they just collapsed last year and are back to being where they should be

Bruh.
6 for 6 is like a hot quarter.

I didn't say Westbrook sucks.
He got a triple double.
That's great.

But there's nothing fukking special about it being a "perfect" 6 for 6 shooting night

:hhh:
he was also perfect from the line which you're missing

ROY is just an award for the most impressive rookie, team doesn't really factor unless we're talking tiebreakers. LeBron isn't losing anything to Carmelo
But still. Melo got the nuggets who were in the same position as the cavs the previous yr to the playoffs in the harder conference. .

Took LeBron damn near 3 yrs to see the playoffs

Melo was in his 2nd by the time LeBron finally got help n made it

Melo was robbed

True :yeshrug:
Melo is just one of those players that get robbed 24/7 though :yeshrug:
Hard to not feel bad for him, but this is just the career path the higher ups chose for him :yeshrug:

(if Westbrook doesnt get MVP, he's on the same path)

This has nothing to do with who WE want to win though, but how the panel votes, historically. No player has ever won MVP outside a third-seeded team in the modern era. That's unlikely to change this season.
oh no doubt, i don't think the league hierarchy likes westbrook either or his 'aggressive' style of play. i'm fullt not expecting him to win it. he 100% should though

The breh is averaging a triple-double -- with comparable shooting splits to and a smidge less turnover-per-game average than Harden -- but apparently, doing something that only ONE PLAYER has ever done in the league's history doesn't matter.

Let's disregard the fact that Russell Westbrook's team lost a former MVP winner in Kevin Fukkin' Durant. But, Russell also leads the league in scoring and PER while Harden -- as great as he has been -- has a better team around him.

Harden has three teammates that rank in the top 50 in the NBA in PER. Westbrook has one.

Harden has five teammates averaging double-figures in scoring (yes, credit D'Antoni with that as well as Harden's play) while Russ has three such teammates.

Yet, OKC is pretty certain to be going to the playoffs. :youngsabo: is the MVP in my eyes. If you disagree, then I assume you felt that Steve Nash deserved that 2005-2006 MVP over Kobe Bryant too. Because that's basically what this is all over again. A player having a career year in an offense-friendly system versus someone who is dragging a lottery team to the postseason with historic levels of performance.

I think people have actually forgot ehat MVP stands for :snoop:. As sh1t as OKC is, could you imagine where they'd be without westbrook? :dwillhuh:

Or what if we replaced westbrook with harden...you think that team gets better? Lol :avbsheesh:

Do you think Dwyane Wade should've won MVP in '08-09? :YeMmmmm:
