This post doesn't make sense. The Laker fans who think we have a chance with Russ is through free agency. Most don't want to gut the team to get him, and just hope to try to get him during the 2017 free agency. I don't think the Lakers even want to trade away their best assets right now unless that was the only way to get him. Boston making this trade (if true and does happen) is them hoping to have him for a year, see what they can do in the playoffs with him, and hope that one year is enough to convince him to re-sign with them.
