The Wu were a phenomenon. Sold millions of records and are one of the most influential acts in hip hop history. You can't compare them to Griselda. Wu were bigger than the Kung Fu flicks they were sampling. Gunn is a niche artist. He ain't doing shyt for WWE. No one checking out WWE off a Westside Gunn mixtape :heh:

He ain't even the first rapper to use wrestling in his aesthetic. Method Man himself has done it. Action Bronson was on that wave heavy too. I don't see why he doesn't just stick promoting more niche shyt like AEW or his own promotion. WWE have shown for years that they don't fukk with him. It's just another rude awakening for these Griselda rappers that they ain't as big as they think they are. WWE will crawl on their knees for recognition from any mainstream celebrity usually but Gunn ain't moving that needle.
Sean P:rip:, Starang & Rock used to Go HAM with the WWF/WCW Nitro BARZ too::banderas::ehh:

Just learned that Westside Gunn and Benny the Butcher are both older than me. They should be more concerned with their applications to the Larry Holmes Gardens being approved than being kicked out of WWE shows. Look at the views from the Gardens:

Wwe ain't shyt for doing that to westside gunn, but he needs to stop with his "I made wrestling cool again" gimmick

He acting like wale wasn't also a rapper who was openly talked about his love for professional wrestling around the same time if not, before

But ever since TKO took the ownership from Vince, they ain't playing about anything.

Cella Dwellas were doing the wrestling thing way back in the 90's too.

UG was even calling himself "Rick Rude" as an alias, lol. A lot of his bars back then were talking about wrestling and all that. Smoke DZA had a whole Ringside mixtape series doing the wrestling sh*t, 11-12 years ago. I think he did 5-6 parts for that.

So the wrestling sh*t has been going on forever in Hip Hop. WSG just ran with it crazy lately.

Bad Bunny has wrestled for them and has had wrestlers in videos.

Gunn uses WWE images as album covers, incorporates their work into his songs, clearly without permission, and does shyt like this

no it can’t :dead:
LMAOOOOOO

Good luck beating TKO which is WWE to the 10th power at this point the way they move. What publicly traded company is going to let anything slide especially with the way anything anyone Griselda related moves. The hitler stuff alone is lowkey/midkey/highkey unacceptable

I know ALOT of the 80s/90s WWF imagery is super iconic but the blatant IP theft is beyond wild. How does one get several steps into creating these things and not say to themselves “are we sure this is a good idea?”
