Definitely Benny deserves the majority of the credit, but having that Roc Nation push is the icing on the cake.

We have to agree to disagree, because based on what Roc Nation have done for others...I personally would be asking questions, but like I said earlier, I doubt these guys would be vocal with Roc Nation if they were unhappy

They’ll be off Shady soon enough. Paul Rosenberg is a POS.

At this point, I personally would be content if they did move on, because they are obviously not happy.

However, it will be interesting to see if they will find another deal that will allow them to release music independently of their contract.

So basically they kidnap em out his house for press releases:mjlol:

Aftermath is weird because I can imagine sending 40 tracks to dr dre and that nikka nitpicking your shyt to death...:francis:

This is what Budden was trying to tell people.

He was for real surprised when he found out that Em is JUST a rapper lol, he's not gonna be doing much of the business stuff, that's really Paul's label. Imagine all of the comings and goings of Shady over the years if it was "Rosenberg records"

Interesting, if you don’t mind me asking, in what department?

With respect, you are speaking in regards to artists who sign a regular deal with Shady, not a distribution deal where the artist is responsible for their own promotion and marketing...just like Conway and Westside Gunn already do..

Would be interesting to know the percentage that Benny and Westside Gunn pay to roc nation for front and center on tidal, and a billboard...

Started in finance, moved into A&R department. Distro with Interscope is different...you're still going to get access to many of the benefits that come via Interscope. Remember, even before these guys signed with Roc Nation...the minute they signed to Shady all of a sudden Rosenberg had them on the shows (after years of largely ignoring them), they were getting print promo, etc etc. It was night and day, that fast.

I think everything stems from a lack of communication...

It seems jay builds wit them once in a while to see what's up and shoot the breeze..

This nikka em is holed up in the fukking house like he's a fugitive...

Next thing you know he on the remix to your record:mjlol:

But he’s on the Album that the group dropped on Shady, so there’s gotta be some paperwork for that right?
Benny luckily has no paperwork with Shady as a solo artist. Anything he signed with them was for the trio of WSG, Conway, and him for WWCD and possibly a sequel to it down the road.

Benny's no obligated to do anything for Shady, or go through them for any of his releases.

Thankfully.

Conway might as well bootleg his album...:russ:

That shyt definitely not coming out now
:snoop: It's such a dope album too. Truly his best work. :mjcry:

I'm all for him bootlegging it.

I just hope he can drop it and they all can get the fukk out of there.

I been saying the Shady deal was a terrible idea since the day it was announced. :pacspit:

Oh he’s lucky then, but that would also help him but I guess he don’t need the look since he’s doing well on the charts.

So does Eminem and that’s why he signed a deal with Gunn and Conway where they are allowed to continue releasing music independently of their Shady deal. What other label will allow that?
:leon: Yeah Shady does deserve some credit for that. I'm really surprised they didn't just sit on them and not let them release anything. If that had been the case, we could easily have gotten zero projects from Conway or WSG in the past few years.

they shoulda seen what happened to Slaughterhouse and not signed. Benny did the right thing.

Not sure why not drop on Empire and let Roc Nation handle the promo/marketing.
