man atleast Shady lets them drop all these side projects and shiit
u be hearing artist talk about all this new music they got but cant release due to label issues

i salute Shady at least for being hands off and letting them release the Hitlers, lulu, Awesome God, EIFs

this may be because of it being a distribution deal and not an actual exclusive record deal. record labels arent really needed in today's game so hence the reason for distribution deals....which there really isnt much physical to distribute. these deals are basically signing with glorified promotional outfits

Thats what I was about to say

They can put out a super amount of music

They can tour off when it gets better

And get steams that I dint think Shady gets any of which could be a nice bit of money

:yeshrug:

Cats in the 2000's had to stop what they was doing in the 90's

Those mixtaoe had to stop because they was giving away too much music back then

:russ:

I beg you two dumbasses stfu.

The rate of their mixtape/album releases have been EXACTLY the same pre and after signing to shady, and it was stated that them having the ability to release stuff outside of their contracts was a requirement for them before even being interested in signing

The industry looks they started getting came flooding in the moment rocnation started managing them

Shady has done fucc all for them and the label is notorious for being sh'tty

Tbh, wsg should only be mad at himself, he should've done his research and not been so thirsty because a large portion of griselda's fanbase was not happy they signed to shady because they saw the bullsh't coming from long distance.

In his defense, haven't they been talking subversive about Eminem's label for a minute now? Little sideways shyt. Cosigning Vlad. Etc...

Yo, Eminem can't do shyt at all, lol. Lord Jamar shyts on him for years...he finally responds, then Lord Jamar and everyone else tries to say he's an angry hating dikkhead for it,.

Dude tried to get Trump the fukk outta here and yall sh!tted on him for that...how?!?

Joe Buddens was constantly throwing shots publicly...Eminem finally sent a jab back and Buddens and everyone else acted like he did something wrong.

Etc...

But...if your reasoning for not giving him a chance to say shyt about shyt is because you're still mad about those N-word tapes then salute, he made his bed..

Why they didn’t just sign to Roc nation on some roc a fella street rap revival type shyt?:hhh:

Nobody that’s ever signed to Em besides 50 ever prospered. Dirty white boy even left his D12 homies to fade in obscurity. I don’t get why Con n Gunn signed to em

Thank you for posting this important point that will get overlooked due to hate for Eminem,

I don’t know of any other artist that has this benefit, and with respect if Westside Gunn and Conway ever move on from Shady, in my opinion they will never get this type of deal again.

Some things are best left off social media, if Gunn has an issue with Eminem he should handle it off the air. In addition, the fact that nobody is calling Gunn out on the fact that he has a distribution only deal is rather disturbing.

If you don’t mind me asking, how has the Roc Nation association helped Westside Gunn and Conway?

Thank you for pointing this out. Let us not forget about Conway making alleged comments about Eminem’s last album.

Conway and Westside Gunn have made little sly remarks, but where are those sly remarks for Roc Nation? Westside Gunn is paying a percentage of his earnings to Roc nation, yet his album didn’t even break into the top 100 in billboard...why is that?

WESTSIDE GUNN MAKES HIS FEELINGS CLEAR ABOUT EMINEM'S TWEET PROMOTING THE ALCHEMIST'S ALBUM

Westside Gunn has been locked into a distribution deal with Eminem’s Shady Records imprint since 2017. Still, the Buffalo-bred rap force seems annoyed by the lack of support from his famous label head.

On Sunday (October 25), Slim Shady threw up a tweet encouraging his 22.8 million followers to cop The Alchemist’s new album The Food Villain featuring Action Bronson and Big Body Bes. A Griselda fan took notice of the tweet and asked, “No post @westsidegunn’s album that’s in your own label? Lol wtf.” Westside replied with three laughing emojis followed by three “sssh” emojis, making it clear he’s wondering the same thing but can’t really talk about it.

The album in question is Westside’s latest offering Who Made The Sunshine, which arrived on October 2. The album was originally expected to drop on August 28 but was pushed back out of respect for DJ Shay who unexpectedly passed away that month.

Interestingly enough, the project featured production from Alchemist on four tracks alongside Beat Butcha and Daringer, Denzel “Conductor” Williams and Just Blaze. Guest appearances included Griselda crewmates Armani Ceasar, Benny the Butcher, Conway The Machine and Boldy James as well as Slick Rick, A.A. Rashid, Black Thought, Busta Rhymes, ElCamino, Estee Nack, Flee Lord, Jadakiss, Keisha Plum and Smoke DZA.

Westside has voiced his thoughts on Shady Records before. In June, Westside appeared to take a slight jabat the label via Twitter after learning about Griselda’s BET Awards nomination in the “Best Group” category, writing, “I wonder do @ShadyRecords know we’re nominated for a BET AWARD tonight.”

The 38-year-old rapper recently made his case to run Def Jam Recordings, despite claiming he’s “actually OVER qualified.” The legendary label’s president position has remained vacant since Eminem’s longtime manager Paul Rosenberg stepped down in February.

I wish this articles would actually be less biased, and describe what a distribution deal is. That way everyone is on the same page and not judging prematurely.

With respect, there is a reason why Benny the Butcher appears to be the most successful out of Griselda. In my opinion he appears to focus less on the drama, and complaining, and more about his career.

If I worked at Shady, I would honestly advise the powers that be to just let Griselda walk if they are unhappy.
