There was nothing legendary about Paris’ cover. Using photoshop to add ugly clip art to a classic painting is not legendary. It’s lazy.

I mean no disrespect, however things like this can happen when you are projecting to a market who is not well versed in the arts, or history of art.

Benny didn't do anything. Shady didn't want him otherwise he'd be over there too. It was moreso luck that Benny got hot after they signed to Shady.
Honestly the shady deal was so long ago it happened before Benny was signed to Griselda. I don’t think Shady knew who Benny was. I’m pretty sure Mach-Hommy was either still signed to Griselda or had barely gotten out the door when the Shady deal happened. It’s surprising to me that it’s taken this long for them to drop stuff in shady. I would’ve guessed it would’ve been quick drops back in 2017 or a dead deal by now.

Unfortunately this is inaccurate. In the video below, Benny explains the situation

All i'm saying is that almost every person he's signed has been on his projects, look at his catalog and tell me otherwise.

However, let us not forget that prior to Eminem releasing the album, Conway and Westside Gunn we’re taking shots at Eminem and his fans on social media. So please explain to me, why Eminem would be obligated to put them on his project? Just like Slaughterhouse minus Joe Budden are on the album...

If I recall correctly, Benny also stated that he wasn’t putting in as much work as Conway and Westside Gunn in terms of taking his rap career seriously around the time Westside Gunn was talking to Paul Rosenberg.

If you don’t mind me asking, how has the Roc Nation association helped Westside Gunn and Conway?

You didn’t start seeing them getting the attention they have now until the RN signing.

I used to think they were being blackballled even after signing to Shady, then they sign with RN and instantly they’re on the Tonight Show, getting bigger features, and hip hop media actually started acting like they exist..

fukk Em stans, they deserve all that smoke cause they’re annoying to begin with. Em needs to help his artists as much as he can, he did in the past and should do the same. Not sure why He signed them to not boost their careers even more.

That’s a shame too because honestly an Eminem/Benny collab would be dope as hell. Seems to me their styles would mesh well together unlike Em/WSG/Conway :mjcry:

That’s great, however I’ve yet to receive an answer to my question of how all this has translated to album sales? since appearing on the tonight show and Fallon, Westside Gunn and Benny have released several projects and unfortunately non reached top ten status on billboard.

Collectively they have appeared to sell less than 40k regardless of the bigger features and hip hop media knowing they exist.

I am really surprised that they were not even nominated once for the BET hiphop awards and they have been consistently releasing music. However, and I mean no disrespect, I’ve personally seen less media promotion on the rapper Rhapsody yet she won lyricist of the year that BET awards and she is also managed by Roc Nation.

Just to clarify..Eminem signed Conway and WestSide Gunn to a distribution deal. That deal means they are allowed to pretty much be in control of their own marketing and release projects outside of Shady. Please explain to me what exactly you expect Eminem to do in this situation here to “help” them?
