there are two rappers in particular , both have songs with him, both names yall would easily know.

one rapper in studio said he "sounded like a fakkit" and if Gunn didint pay up another 1k,. he wouldnt send the vocals. he sent the money.

The other, told me during a phone conversation "i thougth that nikka was a stud dyke when i seen him son"

real talk i thought he was joking, he wasnt.

this is a legit diss alot of rappers have about him as a person and the way he sounds. the love he gets in public doesnt translate outside of that, im dead serious

You went from two rappers saying something negative about him to a lot of rappers:comeon:

I know I’m all over the place in this thread because I’m a very big fan of everyone (including Elzhi and Black Thought who have recently been mentioned).

I’ve been a fan of Gibbs for almost ten years now and I do think he’s dropping slightly less content heavy music than before. I don’t know if I agree to the same extent as you and @spliz but you’re not way off.

He used to do entire concept songs and a lot more introspective records. Now it seems like we get a very solid introspective song on every album and that’s it. On Bandana it was Practice and in Alfredo it was Skinny Suge (and I’ll count Scottie Beam too).

Someone mentioned that now he just kind of sprinkles gems inside the double time flows and I’d agree with that. But I can’t say that sometimes I don’t miss songs like World So Cold, Love You to Death, Neverending Cycle, Deeper, etc.

EDIT: I think he really barred his soul on You Only Libe 2Wice after getting back from prison and then decided to stay less heavy after that. He poured out a lot of stuff on that album. And when he and Alc premiered Alfredo on IG Live, Freddie was talking over Skinny Suge at first as if he didn’t want go back into that space mentally. . I could be wrong. Just my gut feeling.
I think Gibbs is a dope rapper. And I think he has skills. I just don’t think he’s THAT nice like people making him.

We’ll see if Gibbs is still on FKTG, but I’d wager that he is. I think the fans are ultimately gonna take this one harder than they do which is the case in a lot of these instance
I agree. I don’t think that joint they did is going anywhere. They run in the same circle. I think it’ll chill out too.

Clear example of Gibbs sounding good on record and nikkas being content with that. Is “500 Ounces”. How anyone could say he had a better verse than Roc Marci outside of liking the way he SOUNDS on that track boggles me. Cause bars it ain’t even close.
To be fair I don’t know if I’ve heard anyone out-bar Roc Marci on a track except maybe Black Thought on Diamond Cutters and on Roman Candles. Bar for bar there’s not many that are even capable of topping Roc.

Black Thought is a different kind of animal. And even with that I don’t think he flat out rapped Roc on Roman Candles. I think it was close on that joint.

Griselda stay whining eh?

Both them and Fred are excellent at what they do.

But I keep saying this: Freddie is untouchable in the live setting.

WSG sounds great on record, but the live show is reminiscent of the weak days of live hip-hop and is not polished. The wordplay and breath control aren't there.

That's my real critique over it all. I'll respect you infinitely more if you can rap live and keep a crowd entertained.
What? I saw them in February, they tore it down. Gunn sounds exactly the same as he does on record. He might not be able to do something like Euro Step clean live, but he got busy.

If these nikkas really fall out over this, this might be one of the dumbest reasons I ever seen 2 artists stop fukking with each other for. Not to mention that means Con and Benny ain't gonna fukk with Gibbs either outta loyalty. :francis:

I been asking for Gibbs x Griselda for at least 2 years and this shyt only lasted for like 3 months :dead:
They showing each other love on instagram a few hours ago. They straight.
