really? You ever been to any store then the manager has stepped out and immediately the service turns into shyt.....it takes certain skills,vision and discipline to run shyt that arent in most people..Look how crappy the service is at most govt institutions like the DMV where people cant be fired.You really want the whole country to be like that..from Burger king ,starbucks,footlocker ,your Bank,Grocery store...all run like the DMV

Pretty much this. Create art or an object that can't be replicated by a machine. Then hope people want to buy it.
People like George RR Martin will eat because he has a product ( Game of Thrones ) that can't be easily replicated and a fan base of millions of people that would buy his books/merchandise.

90% of this is HYPE
They tried to outsource many aspects of my job to India like 5-7 years ago before I even started in the industry - They are simply incapable of doing it. They rather pay 1 American 100k than 10 Indians 100k to do the same job. Yes, it seriously will take at bare minimum 3-4 Indians just to do 30-40% of what I do daily.
They are irresponsible, cannot communicate and have zero problem solving capability.
Remember how factories, machines, foreigners and computers were supposed to kill all the jobs here? Yea, me neither 
Here's what employment in the financial sector has looked like since they started recording it:
Crucially, here's what it's looked like since 2000, where population was more steady:
If you don't know what that dip around 2008 is, kill yourself
What these Chicken Little articles about technology and employment purposely omit is the fact that folks with skills like those necessary to work in finance can easily find something else to do, and technological advancements enable people to be more productive as well as generate all new jobs we didn't know could exist before. I'm close with people actually in finance... they are not worried. We are nowhere near the point where this is a problem.
And the whole universal income thing is bogus. As long as ANYBODY has to work to keep society functioning, it's bogus. I'm not going to work so you can sit around and bullshyt all day. There's no robot policemen, doctors, firemen, farmers etc etc etc etc. Once we are there across the board then we can talk about universal income.
