That’s actually not a bad idea, but May just turned on Mina so it couldn’t work now.
Mariah's singular character trait on American TV is a willing to sycophantically follow someone she doesn't even like if she thinks its to her benefit.
they could have her back under Mina's wing in a single episode of television and have it make complete character sense for who she's established as. It wouldn't even be hard. It would only actually take one extra person besides Mina and Mariah to work.
But it would require finesse in writing.

You’re talking about her character prior to what she is now. I don’t know if downgrading her to the same thing she was before champ is best, but maybe there’s ways to make it work without feeling like the same shyt.
maybe have her downfall and reconnect, but as of now there’s nothing to be done since May is likely gonna work with Toni leading to AGS. Get the belt off her and maybe do something like this. I don’t care for Mehriah so I wouldn’t give a shyt if this idea happens or not.
