This is actually quite a hard list to compile .... its not just your personal top 10.
Chronic - Put G Funk on the map world wide and started a string of classics from the infamous Death Row Records
Doggystyle - Continued the above. Cemented G Funk world wide. A classic album, and one of the best ever made. Timeless.
Illmatic - One of the greatest albums of all time, acknowledged by his peers and referred to as this day by artists and fans as a landmark (except for the hate on this site of course)
Death Certificate - This will always be close to me, the first album i ever purchased. Cube gave zero f*cks on this album. Some of the most powerful and realest shyt i have heard on a record, period. A lot of people caught feelings. One of the hardest diss records ever known to man. It was the wrooonnnnng n*gga to f*ck wit!
7 Day Theory - My personal favourite album. Pac was just on some whole other sh*t on this album, the space he was in, the paranoia, the subject matter, the events that followed. Everything just makes this album one that will never be touched for me.
36 Chambers - The album that set it off for the Wu. Classic. The solo's that followed this album, i'm not sure it will ever be done again.
Straight Outta Compton - I actually heard Death Certificate first and then went and copped this (i was too young when this dropped). Once i had it, that was it for me. I obviously learned at the time what this album represented and the impact it had.
Lets Get Free - Powerful album, classic, timeless and zero f*cks given. This album separated itself from all others for me. Three different generations of my family f*ck with this album.
They are the ones that immediately come to mind. I'll have a think about the rest. I'm avoiding putting more PAC and Wu albums .... although they could easily feature and would feature on my personal favorites.
