1999-2004 what gen z calls the "y2k era"

first got the internet in late fall '99 and it changed everything. the media around that time was peak (the matrix, blair witch, fight club, etc.). gaming was peak as classics were coming out every week. music was incredible.

that's the only time period i'm genuinely nostalgic for. I was too young to experience the 90's proper and the rest of the 2000's past like 2005 was pretty trash the 2010's was mostly a dumpster fire as well. the y2k era was probably the last time people in the America were genuinely optimistic about the future we've been in a downward spiral ever since

Too much heat in the media, from Movies, Music, TV and beyond. The cultural shift from the 80’s was in full roar and the 90’s was ready to express itself. This time period will forever be memorable to me
