Is it really clear that Reigns is going to be the next star? We're almost 5 years in.
That's what Vince wants us to see.

I said that in response to you sayin he's not Hogan/Austin the point was they all big names/HOFers that got the shot when they didn't "need" it, the gripe people have wit him that you just mentioned applied to both Hogan and Austin which was my point all 3 of them didn't need it to pad their stats and coulda main evented without it but people didn't have a problem wit it back then. I brought up Batista and HHH to show that its been done regularly thru Rumble history but people didn't start whinin about it til recently I said the same thing when people complained about those 2 winnin as well, and obviously a Rumble win for Bray would mean more for him but nobody cares about Bray Wyatt he been losin damn near every PPV match he's been in so havin him win the Rumble tellin everyone months ahead of time that he gonna main event Wrestlemania wouldn't build any anticipation shyt woulda been as much a let down for casuals as Orton winnin is for you smarks.
They did what was best for business and went wit one of the biggest names around who hasn't been in the championship picture in a while, and I think they still prolly gonna do Orton/Cena at Mania puttin Bray in that match will be less interestin for people than another Orton/Cena cause they would need more than a month and a half to build Bray up as a legit star for the Mania main event dude been complete mid card status for the last 2 years.
Are you really not understanding how he's much more like a Batista/HHH than a Hogan and especially Austin with their multiple wins? The latter two guys were heading the two biggest eras in history and former 3 guys (including Orton) are Evolution.
As for Bray, as I stated earlier, my entire point is contingent on this Orton win being used to further their storyline. If (and only if) they're going to put Orton in a feud with Bray for Mania for the belt, it makes much more sense for a guy like Bray to get the win (since he has little to no momentum as you stated) and let Orton get the belt at EC and so they can fight at Mania. They can use the 7-8 weeks until Mania to build Bray as a legit threat to the title.
Now, (if and only if once again) if they're gonna fight for the belt at Mania, Bray (with little to no momentum) has to win it at EC. Now you have a guy who has absolutely no momentum with a belt that everybody expects/knows he's holding for Orton at Mania.
If (and only if) the end match is the same (Orton/Wyatt) one path is much more interesting than the other
Obviously, if they go with Orton/Cena the entire point above is moot and proves they just want the same old shyt with a "21st in a lifetime" Orton/Cena match.
As for the best for business part, let's not pretend that Orton is some major ratings/buyrate maven OR that this match in any incarnation (even with Cena) is gonna be the draw of Mania. With or without this match altogether, Mania is gonna do the normal Mania numbers.
