I agree but they haven't built anyone with the Rumble in a decade. The MITB briefcase creates stars nowadays.
I do think people are overlooking the fact that the RAW title match is open ended now.

Only so many consecutive times you can get excited about a concept only to be disappointed with the lazy, lackluster, anticlimatic, pointless execution. This is like 5 or 6 times in a row now.
The Rumble is quickly becoming M. Night Shamalyan status
It sucked because
1. No Kane
2. No move spamming. Which is the only time it should be ok. Dolph only let off two Superkicks then became another body in the ring. Brock only did like 5 suplex when he should've suplexed every nikka in the ring 5 times at least.
3.Baron Corbin eliminates Braun Strowman then spends the rest of the match in Bolivia.. and to make it worse Corbin had help to eliminate him. Pointless.. Strowman and Corbin won't cross paths again

Orton's not Hogan/Austin though. Not to mention they won when they were actually main eventing. This would be more like Hogan winning in 99 or Austin winning in 2008.
Just doesn't make sense if they're only using this to further the Wyatt angle.
My point is Orton's one of the top guys a future HOFer is over wit fans and a vet like Hogan/Austin were not to mention they did the same thing wit Batista/Triple H, Hogan and Austin winnin in 99/08 wouldn't be comparable since they were way passed their prime/retired while Orton is still wrestlin regularly and in his prime relatively.

What does being a future HOFer have to do with people complaining about Orton winning? The gripe with him winning is because not only does he not need the win to pad his stats on his HOF resume, but moreso because he is nowhere near being in a position where a RR win is needed or makes sense.
Not to mention, judging by SD last night, this is just being used to further the Wyatt angle. Given that Bray was also one of the last guys left in the RR and is in the Wyatt family, a win for him would have meant much more and could have served the same purpose in the storyline.
Also, using Batista/HHH second wins as evidence for why this was ok doesn't really work when both guys were also shyt on for some of the same reasons as this Orton win.

He did have his crazy spot. The bad camera work plus kinda forcing the spot made it look weird though.How they not gon let new day and kofi have any fun with the crazy elimination save that kofi is known for?
Ah. You right. It was so forgettable and guess I thought it'd be more elaborate with all 3 being in the match. You're right tho camera work was ass on the post spot.

Yeah I agree, the Rumble is the one match where spamming a hundred finishers and big spots is acceptable, but nikkas hardly did shyt
Yeah they should have at least has Corbin wreck shyt and go toe-to-toe with Goldberg/Lesnar before getting eliminated, instead of being a wallflower then getting chucked out in Marella time by Taker
I know Rumble's barely do it, but why not have some weapon spots? Have Dreamer come out with his "toys" (trash can full of shyt), mixes shyt up a bit. Why not have the "lunatic Maggle" Ambrose bring out some foreign objects since he's just a crazy, out of control mental asylum patient?
I remember being a kid and doing a royal rumble with my action figures and shyt would be 10 times better than what we saw
