Fallout Series gets worse the longer the games take to make. Fallout 5 finna be horrible simply due to having this much time for them to bloat it with things no one fukking asked for. They'll talk themselves out of SPECIAL if we keep giving them dev time; watch.

Prove me wrong

Bethesda took a decade to make Starfield and it was a brick.
Fallout 3 was better than Fallout 4, with half the dev time and budget.
Fallout New Vegas was made in less time than we spent on lockdown and its the truest 3D Fallout game of the three.

Make Fallout AA. And give it to Oblivion.
BGS makes ES6 and only ES6 until it's ready to ship. Todd lost his multitasking priviledges.

Even if Bethesda gave Fallout to Obsidian, Microsoft is still going to view it as a AAA franchise.
It's too late anyway because due to the success of the Fallout show, Bethesda is going to keep the IP.

Just make the games longer and i'm good.
RDR2 is about 60 hours for the story, and another 60 if you do side content. I played that game from 2018 to 2022 before i finally got bored with it.

FF7 rebirth is another 100+ hour game and i am still enjoying it now over a year later.

(note this isn't continues play, i put them down for months at a time before picking them back up again.)

You add enough content in your releases and it can make up for some of that development time between games.


Examples of AAA games that don't really do that enough for me. I love Uncharted but i only ever play those games once or twice each before never picking them up again. Literally done playing with them in two weeks

I'll take it a step further. It needs to go back to being isometric.

I wouldn’t mind if Konami did this with the MGS series. Set it outside the main canon like they did with Metal Gear Acid.

I would love if we would get at least a remake of the first 2 games in the classic style.
