The absolute centerpiece of White Imperialism is to brainwash/trick native inhabitants that they had no history before the White Man came, that they were all barbarians before the White Man "civilized them". Starts with financially compromising the first generation, then brainwashing the children of the next generation. Because they know in the future that if any word gets out that the native people had an advanced civilization, it would destroy the power they have over the people they colonized

The sun shined bright 365 days per year and you could live off the land. It doesn’t get much more simple than that. Once your basic needs are met you’re free to improve and make things better.
