what age did you stop speaking to your parents?

I went a long time without talking to my mother. Didn't have a great relationship growing up. Been working on it for years now but the women has issues and always does or says some shyt to bring it a few steps back. I speak to my dad about once a week though. Couldn't imagine not talking to him at all. I'm gonna be a mess when that day comes that he's not around anymore.

I am just glad I have parents who I can and like to talk to.

I'm not cool w/ my birth mother, but we speak every so often. I talk to my step-mom weekly if not a few times a week. When my father was still alive, I'd talk to him practically daily. I still let him know what all I have planned for the day every morning though, that would be the start of our morning or evening convo's.

I stand by what I said, unless there is dysfunction or abuse present if you're parents spend X amount of years raising you, it costs you nothing to make an effort.

I stopped speaking to my mother when I was about 16, I only started speaking to her again when I turned 20. It was different circumstances anyway.

She bought a man in her life and pretty much neglected them. He said that they guy was abusive and tried to molest his older sister a few times, so she ran away at 17 and he eventually dipped out at 15


Unfortunately, lots of kids have shyt to be grateful for when it comes to parents

no this isnt a phase. i literally live with my mom and we dont say more than two words to each other every day. i cant recall ever having an actual conversation with my mom.

Do you read this nikka @yo moms threads? Does he strike you as a logical individual? We don't understand his relationship with his parents but I can definitely extrapolate why having a 19 year old son with his mentality would be a pain in the ass
