They would be prominent in many trap kits or southern drum kits. You can also use a sub bass to make 808 tones.

yea the 808 in the trap kits will be in there most basic presentation you have to EQ them making the low end more prominent and cutting out the highs and add effects such as distortion and compression.

That sounds good.
Keep in mind that if you want the sound to dive as in change pitch you have to use pitch automation as well. A lot of the songs that you provided just have a strong 808 bass hit.
