This all revolves around a poster's comment of '49ers receivers are not comparable to Denver's AT ALL' - and then providing statistical proof of his statement by saying, Decker and co have more catches, yards, TDs than the 49ers receivers. He doesn't make this comparison if the roles were reversed, simply because A. Smith wouldn't have put up better #'s than Manning; their teams are not designed in that way for this to be 'possible'. Therefore, he wouldn't have come to that conclusion, because eye-tests and stats would say otherwise.
This. End of argument, a laughable argument that should have never been brought up in the first place. Put Peyton on the 49ers and and everbody would be saying SF has a top 5 receiving corps in the league, but instead they stuck with Alex Smith and now all of a sudden Decker and Thomas are world beaters and better than what SF has got
Gotta love the coli

at the games and see what's going on.

you can twist them as you may please but the fact is that they made it to playoffs and won a game in the playoffs (by the way, with a huge part of their win against the steelers attributed to thomas)
What the fukk has that got to do with this years? Y'all added Moss & Manningham, and yeah, nobody on the team will likely have 8 TD's or put up big yardage, but thats because only 3 teams in the NFL pass less than y'all, and when y'all do pass you've got Mr. Checkdown throwing the ball. And on top of that, y'all got one of the best TE's in the game who's gonna take away catches from the receivers. Its two totally different types of offenses, and one of them has a great QB, the other has Alex fukking Smith, of course the Broncos receivers are gonna look better than the 49ers on paper, but that dont mean shyt, most of the NFL's receivers look better on paper than the 49ers when all you're looking at is stats
