What are some childhood chores your parents made you do?

Like everyday stuff around the house?

Lawns? Dishes? Were your parents strict or were they kinda just like whatever?

None of those. Parents are 7 certs, 7 figures so they always had lawn service, a maid, and a personal chef.

Feel bad for kids with average parents and getting paid $20/week to wash dishes, take out the trash, etc. Basically slave labor under the guise of learning discipline.

Tree cutting
Raking leaves
Take care of the dog, then everybody wonder why she was cool with me the most.
Recycle the cans, but I got to keep the money.

Daily:
-Dishes, Hand dry & put away
-Transfer dinner to containers because "No pots are allowed in my refrigerator...and no pots are allowed to soak in my sink."
-Sweeping
-Make my bed

Midweek:
-Clean bathrooms
-Sweep the front & back porch
-Rake / pick up leaves
-Pick up fallen mangoes & toss them
-Take out the garbage 2x week

Weekends:
-Polish piano
-Dust, vacuum, clean glass / ceiling to floor mirrors in the living room.
-Laundry - Clothes and bedding (Just mine)
-Iron 5 outfits for school
-Deep clean bathrooms and kitchen

Wash the car occasionally.

I told her that I don't do windows. She said that I don't do flapping lips, get busy. I made sure to take all day and leave haze & swirl marks. I was never made to do them again.

I know that there was MORE chores but I am wore out thinking about how she had my ass stretched out up in there!

In Los Angeles, the above was true for me. Even including taking my oldest sister to and back from pre-school, doing her hair, and feeding her, changing her diapers when she was a baby, etc. There is a 7 years difference between us, but all of the responsibility was on my back as a child.

By the time my wife and I raised my 2nd sister, 24 years difference between us, and our daughter, I already knew how to do all of that stuff. So yea, thanks parents for making me grow up at 7 years old /sarcasm.
